Stochastic (FM) Offset Printing Process
We use a random dot pattern instead of the traditional rosette halftone, which gives you finer detail and richer color reproduction than standard offset printing.

How Our Commercial Printing Process Works
Getting your project printed with PXPOHIO is straightforward. Here's what to expect from start to finish:
Tell Us About Your Project
Reach out with the details — what you're printing, the quantity you need, how you want it finished, and when you need it. Not sure about some of those things? That's fine. We'll help you figure it out.
Submit Your Art File
We'll need a print-ready file along with specs like dimensions, ink colors (black only or full four-color), paper preference, and finishing requirements (folding, binding, cutting, etc.). If your file needs prep work, we can advise you before it ever gets to us.
Preflight and Proof
We inspect your file and send you a proof for approval. We won't go to press until you've signed off.
We Determine the Right Press for Your Job
Based on your quantity and specifications, we'll run your job offset or digital — whichever gives you the best result at the best price. Generally, digital runs turn around in 3–7 business days and offset runs in 5–10 business days, depending on paper availability and finishing requirements.
Binding and Finishing
Once printed, our full service bindery is here to finish the job through a variety of services including trimming, folding, stitching and more.
Production and Delivery
Once your job is complete, we deliver, ship, use our in-house mailing services or have it ready for pickup. We run local pickup and delivery routes daily.

Pricing for Your Print Job
Every commercial printing job at PXPOHIO is custom-quoted based on your specific needs. Factors that affect pricing include quantity, paper stock, ink colors, press type (digital vs. offset), and any finishing or binding requirements. The Print Shop Worth Flying Across the World For
One of the more remarkable examples of PXPOHIO's print quality came from an artist based in Greece — later Chicago — who creates detailed Star Wars-themed paintings and sells prints at Star Wars Celebration conventions around the world. He sought out PXPOHIO specifically for the precision of our stochastic printing process, which captures the fine detail his artwork demands. Even after relocating to Chicago, he continues to fly to Columbus to have his prints produced here, and has taken them to conventions as far as England. It's the kind of relationship that speaks for itself.
Frequently Asked Questions About
Commercial Printing in Columbus
Offset printing in Columbus uses metal plates to transfer ink onto paper and is best suited for larger volume runs where the setup cost is offset by the lower per-unit price. Digital printing prints directly from a file with no plates, making it faster and more cost-effective for small runs or jobs that require personalization. At PXPOHIO, we offer both, and we'll recommend the right process based on your quantity and budget.
No. Because we have both offset and digital capabilities in-house, we can accommodate virtually any quantity, from a single copy to tens of thousands. For very small runs, digital is typically the right fit. Once quantities reach a certain threshold, offset becomes the more cost-effective option, and we'll let you know when that crossover makes sense.
To get a quote, we'll need to know the type of piece you're printing, the finished dimensions, your quantity, ink requirements (black only or full color), paper preference, and any finishing needs like cutting, folding or binding. To go to press, we'll need a print-ready art file. If you're not sure how to set up your file, we're happy to walk you through it ahead of time.
Turnaround times vary depending on the press type, paper stock, and finishing requirements. As a general guide, digital printing in Columbus typically takes 3–7 business days and offset jobs 5–10 business days once your proof is approved. Specialty paper stocks may add lead time. We'll always give you an accurate timeline when we quote your job.
Our core focus is printing as most customers supply their own print-ready files. That said, we're happy to review your file and work with you to correct any issues before it goes into production. Limited design services are available and we can also point you in the right direction if you need more extensive design help.
